There’s a rumour flying around the Isle of Wight that the presenters of the BBC car programme, Top Gear, are on the Island.
Unconfirmed rumours are that Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond were spotted on the Island yesterday.
We were told by Russell Thomson, “They are here as part of the new series and filming being part of the save Military Road campaign. Captain Slow is coming [today] and flying into Bembridge.”
Captain Slow, as fans of the show will know, is the programme’s third presenter, James May.
UPDATE 14:00: We’ve spoken to Bembridge Airport. No sign of Mr May. Put that in your rumour mill and smoke it.
