Rural Community Council Review and Development Day

The IWRCC is holding a Review and Development Day on the 23rd April from 10 – 1pm at the Riverside Centre and everyone is invited, whether you represent a voluntary or community organisation, a Parish Council, County Council or Statutory organisation.

The morning will have 2 parts:

  • A presentation to highlight the work of the RCC in the last year and also general voluntary and community sector developments.
  • Break out groups for partners to provide their views on the planned work of the IWRCC for the next 12 months and to identify issues or new pieces of work that partners feel the RCC ought to be considering.

The discussion groups will be focussing on the following topics:

  1. Addressing rural priorities – including affordable housing, access to services, rural economy
  2. Delivering healthy communities – including preventative and community based work
  3. Volunteering
  4. Improving voluntary sector partnership working – including networks and cross sector relationships
  5. Supporting community groups – including training and governance

The sessions will be followed by a light lunch.
