In a heartwarming display of community spirit, students from Ryde Academy have traded their school uniforms in a special “mufti day,” all in the name of giving back.
The students generously donated around 1,000 Easter eggs, which were delivered on Friday afternoon to those most in need within the local community.

Carefully allocated to a range of vital local services
Representatives from Ryde Town Council joined forces with the students to distribute the Easter treats. The donations were carefully allocated to a range of vital local services, including the Ryde Food Pantry, Phoenix Project, Aspire, and numerous other organisations dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
The initiative, driven by the students’ desire to make a positive impact during the Easter season, saw an overwhelming response. The sheer volume of Easter eggs collected is a testament to the students’ compassion and commitment to their community.

Doyle: A fantastic opportunity to come together and make a real difference
Head of School, Will Doyle, said,
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their generosity and their willingness to support those in need.
“This mufti day was a fantastic opportunity for them to come together and make a real difference to the lives of others, particularly during this special time of year.”

Ryde Town Council representatives echoed these sentiments, expressing their gratitude for the students’ efforts.
The collaborative effort between Ryde Academy and Ryde Town Council exemplifies the power of community partnership in supporting those in need.
