Ryde Arts Festival: Last chance to catch creative showcase

Ryde Arts Festival comes to an end this week, but there is still time to catch several of the exhibitions and events.

Exhibitions
St Thomas’ Heritage Centre is hosting The Chalk Talks: An artists’ interpretation of Ryde’s history. The exhibition is open Saturday and Sunday between 10.30am – 4pm.

Ryde Library has been hosting the Reading Spaces project (pictured). Saturday is your last chance to see this exhibition by Tim Johnson and Jonathan Ward with guest makers Daniel Roberts and Monica Guilera. The sculptures and installations examine books both as source of inspiration and raw material for making.

The Depozitory has been inviting art lovers to their exhibition on the theme of ‘The Book’. It’s called The Never Ending Story and is open Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am – 4pm.

Free workshop for the family
Finally don’t forget the Family Drop-In workshop at St Thomas’ Heritage Centre, sponsored by Quay Arts and Daisie Rich 10am until 1pm on Saturday.

Letter in a bottle?
Tomorrow is also the last day to pop into the Mermaid Investigation Bureau and write a letter to a mermaid.
