Ryde Beach Lifeguards seeking new recruits for summer 2024

Ryde Beach Lifeguards (RBLG – registered charity 1174631) is looking for new recruits to join their team for the 2024 summer season. 

RBLG is an independent lifesaving service on the Isle of Wight, that provides a Beach Safety Service in Ryde and Sandown, for Ryde and Sandown Town Councils during the months of May, July and August. 

Beach Manager, Todd Miller, said,

“After a rather wet and windy 2023, we are hoping for a sunny 2024 and looking for some new recruits to join our team!

“Working as a Beach Lifeguard is an extremely rewarding and important role, that comes with a lot of responsibility, as well as being enjoyable!

“You also gain nationally recognised qualifications and training, as well as the experience of working alongside our amazing emergency services.”

To apply you must be:

  • At least 16-years-old
  • Able to swim 400m in under 8 minutes and confident swimming in the sea
  • Available to work in May, July and August
  • Mature, professional, proactive, hard working and physically fit

Training and qualifications will be provided to successful candidates in April 2024.
