Spinnaker Tower on Go Orange DayRyde Inshore Rescue are ready to turn Ryde Orange again this Friday as part of the national “Go Orange for Independent lifeboats” day.

Thanks to the support of Ryde schools and businesses the town will once again look very colourful on 10th February and will have a high presence by the town’s very own lifeboat crew.

The main lifeboat will be outside the Co-op on the Friday, giving away Orange balloons and ribbons as well as giving you the opportunity to sign up to the Lifeboat Lotto and enter the special draw that is running as part of the campaign.

Hovertravel go orange
Hovertravel will also once again be going Orange to show their support, and the smaller lifeboat will be positioned alongside the Hovercrafts on the pad for the day.

Look out for other businesses in town who have gone Orange and will also be holding their own events for the day.

Pubs in the town and also further afield like the Wishing Well and Boathouse will also be raising money on the day.

Look out for crew at the car ferries
On the Saturday the crew can be found on the Fishbourne to Portsmouth car ferries where they will be collecting throughout the day and on the Sunday the lifeboat station will once again turn into a cafe for “Coffee and cake” day.

The doors are open between 1100 and 1600 hours and this event has become so popular that the crew will also be offering a takeaway service this year to people who cannot fit inside the lifeboat station!

Spinnaker Tower goes orange
