Ryde murder: Four men bailed with conditions

Four people who were arrested yesterday (Tuesday 15th March) in connection with the death of 33-year-old Scott Cooper in Ryde have been bailed with conditions.

Police attended a flat in George Street on the afternoon of Tuesday 4th January where the body of Scott, who was from Newport, was discovered.

As part of enquiries, officers conducted warrants at addresses in George Street, Warwick Street, Star Street, and Quarry Road in Ryde yesterday morning (15th March).

Four men bailed with conditions
During this activity, a 25-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

In addition, two men who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder – a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old – were re-arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The 28-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

All four men have now been bailed with conditions in connection to these alleged offences until 12 April, while enquiries continue.
