All at OnTheWight are saddened to hear that former Mayor and councillor of Ryde, David Knowles, has passed away.
The CP report the sad news this morning, although the cause of death is not yet given.
During our dealings with Dave over the years, we always found him to be a thoroughly decent chap. He was a regular contributor to OnTheWight and avid reader of the comments.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
