Creative Island will host its latest The Bays Town Conversation next month at Boojum & Snark on Monday 16th February from 6pm to 8pm.
The organisation originally planned the event as the final session exploring “improving our sense of belonging,” a theme that has appeared across all six Town Conversations locations.
Focus shifts to Town of Culture bid
With growing interest in Sandown applying for the Town of Culture bid, Creative Island has changed the evening’s focus to address this opportunity.
The organisation now invites attendees to discuss the bid itself, examine the possibilities it presents, and explore ways the community can collaborate on the application.
Connecting themes of belonging and ambition
The conversation will still address the core themes that have run through the Town Conversations series.
The evening will explore the sense of belonging, pride of place, and shared ambitions for what Sandown and Shanklin could become as part of The Bays area.
Creative Island sees the Town of Culture bid as a natural extension of these discussions about community identity and aspirations.
How to attend
Residents can register to take part and share their thoughts and ambitions for The Bays by booking a seat through the Eventbrite page.
The two-hour session offers local people a chance to contribute their ideas and vision for the area’s future.
