Isle of Wight artist Sandy Kendall will open her working studio to the public this May as part of Isle of Wight Open Studios.
Visitors will have the chance to view a wide-ranging collection of work that includes mixed media, painting, drawing and printmaking.

Bold and expressive artworks
Sandy’s style is vigorous, colourful and often playful. Much of her work centres around the drawn figure.
She has re-hung the walls of her studio with new pieces, all of which are available to buy at reasonable prices.

Following a major exhibition
In 2023, Sandy presented a major solo exhibition at Quay Arts‘ West Gallery.
Titled MANIFESTATIONS, the show brought together striking contrasts — from vibrant, large-scale canvases to softer, tonally muted works on cloth that combined drawing, painting and printmaking.

Visit the studio in Ryde
Sandy’s studio will be open from 10am to 4pm on Friday 16th, 17th and 18th May, then Friday 23rd, 24th and 25th May 2025. Other days by appointment.
Find it at Flat 9, The Colonnade, Lind Street, Ryde, PO33 2NE (entrance via the steps next to Dig for Vintage on St Thomas Street – look out for the bunting).

You can find about more about Sandy’s work by visiting her website, or by following her on Instagram.
