As those following the Save the Libraries campaign will know, the ex-Waterstones boss who has advised ministers, the DCMS and audit commission on libraries, Tim Coates, will be coming to the Isle of Wight on Tuesday.
Organised by VentnorBlog, Tim will be presenting ideas to a public audience (all are welcome) on how he feels the Isle of Wight council can make savings to their library service budget and retain libraries at the same or similar current levels.
All council staff, as well as concerned library users, are invited to the meeting being held at Quay Arts on Tuesday between 6-8pm.
Well done to Cllr George Brown and Ian Anderson
As you may have previously read, we also invited councillors and officers to come along too.
All praise to Cllr George Brown and Ian Anderson, who despite very busy timetables, have moved several meetings around in order to meet up with VB and Tim Coates at County Hall the following day.
Do please support this event, to find out how savings can be made and your library service retained.
