Bembridge Harbour Trust (BHT), a charity dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Bembridge Harbour, has lost its chance of a Judicial Review against the Isle of Wight Council.
The application for a Judicial Review concerning planning permission on a development of 13 houses and replacement harbour facilities on operational harbour land was refused permission to proceed yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Gully: Obviously disappointed but more come
Jeremy Gully from the BHT told News OnTheWight they were obviously disappointed by this outcome, but feel they had already achieved a great deal in terms of improvements to the planning permission, than there might have been without their efforts.
A formal statement from the Trustees will be forthcoming.
The second Judicial Review application, against the Statutory Harbour Authority (SHA) is ongoing.
