Severe Weather Warning Continues

The Isle of Wight continues to be under a severe weather warning by the Met Office.

The forecast for between 5pm tonight and valid until noon tomorrow is as follows.

“Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow are expected to spread from the west during Friday evening and overnight falling onto sub zero surfaces. This will lead to widespread icy stretches forming on untreated surfaces and dangerous driving conditions.”

Sunday’s forecast
“Clearing skies, following overnight rain, sleet and hill snow may well lead to widespread icy surfaces on Sunday, especially in the morning. Some patchy freezing fog may also form.”

We’ll keep an eye on whether this changes or not and let you know.

PS. Did anyone else see this very strange icy fog floating above the sea in Ventnor?
