Severe Weather Warnings For The Island

The Met Office updated their severe weather warning at 1.13am this morning (Tuesday).

The Isle of Wight has the following warning

Snow showers spreading from the east this morning will give 2 to 4 cm in places, and up to 8 cm over higher ground.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads

Tomorrow is all clear and we then have the following warning for Thursday

There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting eastern Scotland and eastern, central and southeastern parts of England. Further snow showers are likely to give local accumulations of 5 to 10cm with drifting in the strong northeasterly winds. There is a continued risk of widespread icy roads.
