Police have confirmed that a 49-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
This follows the earlier Police appeal for information regarding a sexual assault and an indecent exposure incident on the Isle of Wight.
The man has been released from police custody on conditional bail to allow for further enquiries to continue.
