Shanklin Lift Closed For Repairs

If you were planning to use the lift on Shanklin esplanade to get up from the beach over the next couple of days, you’ll need to consider an alternative.

Shanklin Lift Closed For RepairsThe council inform us that due to necessary repairs being carried out, it is currently closed to the public.

It’s anticipated to be re-opened after 1pm on Thursday afternoon (24 June).

A nuisance for those wanting to use it, but if repairs have to happen, repairs have to happen. The council apologises for any inconvenience.

Just click on to ‘Bramblenet‘ and have a look.

You can also check previous days as well.

Bramblenet showed an F6-F7 but it sure felt like a tornado pulling a hurricane and pushed by a tropical storm!!! Worst to come this week if BBC is to be believed. Thank goodness we had such a long hot dry Summer to compensate!
