Shanklin Shop Robbery: Police Reveal Outcome

HandcuffsPolice can confirm an investigation has been completed into a robbery reported at a shop in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.

Officers were called to the address in the High Street at 9.25pm on Saturday, October 22, 2011.

Three arrested
Three boys, aged 15, 15 and 16, all from the Isle of Wight, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and criminal damage between 11.40pm on Saturday, October 22 and 15 minutes past midnight on Sunday, October 23, 2011. They were taken to Newport Police Station for questioning, and bailed until November 4, 2011 pending further enquiries.

One 15-year-old boy from the Isle of Wight was given a reprimand for theft.

The second 15-year-old boy from the Isle of Wight was charged with handling stolen goods, and is due to appear at the Isle of Wight Youth Court on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.

The 16-year-old boy was released with no further action.
