As part of the ongoing National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Newport Minster the team are working on a new exhibition, focused on Births, Deaths and Marriage.
The exhibition will be launched in September as part of Newport Heritage Day.
Share your photos for new exhibition
Hannah Griffiths Community Engagement Coordinator, says,
“We would love to share some of the stories of these big life events as part of the exhibition.
“We would like to feature images of weddings, baptisms and even funerals at Newport Minster/ Sts. Thomas Church as part of the exhibition and would love you to feature your pictures in this new exhibition.”
As well as photographs, the Minster team would like to interview people who were married at Sts. Thomas, had their child Christened or said goodbye to family in the space.
Jodie Whitton, Volunteer Exhibitions Assistant, says,
“We would like to create an oral history archive of the people of the church for future generations.”
