Isle of Wight resident, Roberto Torino, spotted this shocking case of flytipping in woodland in Wootton this week.
As can be seen from Roberto’s photos below, a large number of tables and chairs were dumped in the woodland, with no clues as to where they came from.
Roberto posted the photos to social media and several individuals who usually dispose of waste for a living say they didn’t recognise the items from any jobs they’ve recently priced up.
Report flytipping
Cases of flytipping should be reported to the Isle of Wight council via the FixMyStreet Website or App.
It’s a very easy service to use and ensures the report is sent to Island Roads and Isle of Wight council. Once you’ve reported something via the Website/App, you’ll receive follow-up emails with updates.
