Hundreds of bargain hunters headed to Barratt’s Bluebell Meadows development at the beginning of June for a sale which raised £2,254 for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on the Island.

Items ranging from carpets to radiators, fridge freezers and even kitchens were up for grabs in the Barratt charity sale in Newport – the contents and fittings of show homes due for demolition.

“Committed to sustainability”
Barratt’s sales director Michelle Storer said the queues were beyond all expectations with plenty of happy customers and a boost for the local charity,

“The whole sale was a great success and we are thrilled with the support from everyone involved.

“We are committed to sustainability in everything we do and it was great to see so many of the show home fittings going to good use with new homes.”
