If you love building things whether they serve a purpose or are just beautiful to look at, Studio in the Woods is one event you should seriously consider going to this year.
Forget music festivals or holidays on the beach, how about spending four days this summer meeting new people, flexing your creative juices (as well as your muscles) and taking part in an exciting architectural project on the Isle of Wight.
Studio in the Woods is a three-day outdoor summer workshop led by a group of award winning architects and engineers aimed at architectural students, practicing architects and a wider audience with an interest in place, landscape and the direct experience of making and working with materials to hand.
As with last year, Studio in the Woods returns to New Barn Farm in Calbourne. Full details can be found on the Isle of Wight Architecture Centre Website
It’s not cheap, so you might need to start saving now as the cost of Studio in the Woods is £350.00 for the weekend. However, this does include all catering, materials and tent pitch and you’re sure to learn a huge amount from the experienced tutors.
