On Wednesday 28th August, Chloe and Emilie Hayward will be having their hair cut very short, in support of The Little Princess Trust and to raise money for the KissyPuppy (Sophie Rolf) appeal.

Mother of Chloe and Emilie, Dee Hayward (29), from Trafalgar Road, Newport, said:

“A few months ago Chloe (12) approached me and told me she wanted to shave her hair off to donate it to The Little Princess Trust ‘for little girls who weren’t as lucky as her’.

“I was blown away by this lovely gesture but after lots of talking and gentle persuasion I encouraged Chloe to get it cut short as short and as styled as she wants but not shaved off!

“Hearing about this Emilie (8) decided she wanted to do the same but with a twist.”

Dee continued:

“We have read and talked about the precious little girl called Sophie Rolf, she has recently turned 6 and sadly has a life limiting illness.

“Living on the Isle of Wight she is restricted about where she can go for such specialist care, so they are fundraising for better care for children at the Island’s only hospice, The Earl Mountbatten.

“The girls have been growing their hair in order to donate it to The Little Princess Trust but with the aim to raise some money for the Kissypuppy appeal.”

The girls will be having their hair cut at 10am, Take 2 hairdressers, Newport.
