Voters in Wroxall, Lowtherville and Bonchurch will head to the polls on Thursday 10th July 2025 to choose their next Isle of Wight councillor.
Polls will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Six names on the ballot
Following the close of nominations, six candidates have been confirmed:
- David John Groocock (Local Conservatives), of Castle Road, Ventnor
- Mark Jefferies (Island Independent Network), of Downlands Crescent, Ventnor
- Rachel Aimee Lambert (Liberal Democrat), address within Isle of Wight Council area
- Christopher Lloyd (Labour Party), address within Isle of Wight Council area
- Bill Nigh (Reform UK), address within Isle of Wight Council area
- Graham James Mark Perks (Vectis Party), of Victoria Street, Ventnor
Voter registration and deadlines
To take part in the election, residents must be registered to vote by Tuesday 24th June 2025.
Anyone unable to vote in person can apply for a postal vote by 5pm on Wednesday 25th June, or a proxy vote by 5pm on Wednesday 2nd July.
Photo ID requirement
Voters will need to show approved photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence, when voting.
Those without valid ID can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate. The deadline to apply for this is also 5pm on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
