Did you see ‘skinny’ man sought for Isle of Wight bus assault?

Police are investigating an allegation of assault against a 26-year-old man on the Isle of Wight between 9.15pm and 10.30pm on Saturday (5th June).

The victim was at Shanklin bus station, in Languard Road, when he was approached by a man who verbally abused him.

Both men got on the number three bus to Newport, where the suspect continued to verbally abuse the victim and punched him in the face, causing his glasses to break.

The suspect got off the bus outside the Griffin pub in Godshill.

Description
The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • Late 30s
  • Skinny build
  • About six feet tall
  • Skinhead
  • Tattoos on his forearms

He was wearing a long, grey t-shirt; blue three-quarter length trousers with turn-ups and white trainers with blue stitching.

There were a number of people at the bus station and on the bus at the time, who we would like to hear from.
