Snow Wight: Your Island snow photos (updated)

Thanks to the On The Wight readers who have shared their photos of snow arriving on the Isle of Wight this morning.

Hilda Jones sent in a pic of her dog in the garden, with the caption, “Come on Dad … walkies!” Another canine pic shows Albert catching a snowball (not sure who this came in from, please let us know if it was you)

Alistair Dickinson shared a pic of his snowy walk to work in Cowes.

John Whitehead decided on the nature angle and shot a pic of a “Tough IW rabbit contemplates stealing a snowman’s nose”. Whilst Irene Craig showed us the snow in her front garden.

East Cowes
Kim Hammond took a walk with young Cameron, the snow angel-maker, along the seafront at East Cowes.

Shorwell
Wendy Varley shared a pic saying, “Our dog, miffed that he wasn’t allowed to join in with the sledging near Shorwell.”

Wroxall
Anne Rendell in Wroxall managed to capture a peaceful scene in Wroxall quite early on, followed by the unfortunate bus that got stuck going through the village.

Out West
How about the painting-like shot of Freshwater Bay by Kelly Daniel? Isn;t it great. As is the hen from Tom’s Eco Lodge.

Ventnor
Thanks also to Ford Farm House for the shot of the number 3 bus making its way through Ventnor.

John Woracker was able to show how think the snowfall was this morning with his shot of soft scoop and Bianca shared another shot of “our traditional ‘Jim Homes’ Man” as well as her atmospheric shot of Ventnor rooftops.

Simon managed to pop up to Ventnor Downs for a bit of sledging and shares his pic of the bowl below the Radar.

St Lawrence

Newport
Angela McMurty sent in a great shot of snow covered roof tops in Newport.

Shanklin
