If you’re the parent or carer of a young person with disabilities, then this should be of interest to you.
From the team that brought you Special Branch Tree Climbing comes another exciting activity for young disabled people on the Isle of Wight.
Those lovely folks over at Goodleaf Tree Climbing and Sandown Rocks are offering outdoor wall climbing to disabled young people aged 10 to 18 over the winter period.
What’s involved?
Using the latest safety equipment, the fully qualified and experienced instructors will teach your child the ropes.
As well as providing a gentle physical workout, wall climbing is great for the brain too, and under the guidance of the experts see how quickly your child’s confidence grows.
The low-down
The wall climbing sessions last for one and half hours.
As the wall is outside, the sessions will be weather-dependent, so if you book in advance, do check on the day whether they are going ahead.
A perfect Christmas present
As the scheme is being funded by Aiming High for Disabled Children, the cost per session is just £3!
How about buying a session for someone you know as a Christmas present?
