St Lawrence Election Candidates Named

Three hopefuls are standing in the St Lawrence election

The list of candidates hoping to be elected to the town councillor vacancy in St Lawrence ward has been released.

St Lawrence Election Candidates NamedThere are three people standing for the previously uncontested position. Should any of them change their minds, they have until Wednesday 27th to withdraw from the election.

The three candidates are:

Chris Bonney from Albert St who was proposed by Elizabeth Harris.

Maureen Cawley of Bonchurch Shute who was proposed by Doug Nettleton (the councillor who resigned from the post last December).

Mark Compton Hall of Albert Street, proposed by Cllr Susan Scoccia. Mark also stood in the Ventnor West election in December 2007 attracting 38 votes.
Update: Under advice, Mark decided to withdraw.

We’ll let you know whether any of the candidates pull out and remind you of the election date as it draws closer.

Shame no-one from St Lawrence is not standing isn’t it??


Sorry I mean that it is a shame that there is not someone actually from St Lawrence who is standing for this!! (My brain hurts!!)
