The Island’s premier music venue, Strings Bar and Venue, has been shortlisted in the ‘Grassroots Champion’ category at the 2024 Live Awards.
The Awards showcase the outstanding companies, teams and individuals that make up the world-renowned industry and is the only event that brings together professionals from every part of the business.
The Grassroots Champion Award is for venues that put on regular music events throughout the year and are under 1000 capacity.

A spokesperson for Strings said,
“This is a huge honour for us and we are so proud to be able to represent grassroots music in what is a very challenging sector.
“To be nominated and recognised in this category alongside other quality venues is something we did not expect.
“We want to thank everyone that has been to a show this year and helps us to continue bringing regular live music to the Isle of Wight.”
Each category in The LIVE Awards will be decided by a small, invited number of senior industry professionals, who will score each shortlisted entry against the specific criteria of each award.
The awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday 11th December 2024 at Troxy, London.
