Sunday afternoon saw the launch of the first Summer Madness gig take place in Carisbrooke Castle fields on the Isle of Wight.
The event, organised by Godshill promoter John Curd of Home Grown Events was the first of many planned for the Isle of Wight over the August bank holiday weekend.
The weather could have been kinder, especially given the glorious sunshine the day before and afterwards, but the grey clouds and drizzle didn’t dampen the spirits of those attending or those performing at this debut mini-festival.
We had a number of people shooting for VB on Sunday at the gig and first up are shots from Chris Cowley.
We’ve been impressed with Chris’ work for sometime now so you’ll understand why he’s a regular shooter for VB.
His gallery of images start with The Gentlemen’s Dub Club, followed by Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band, Kid Creole and the Coconuts and finally of course, the nutty boys, Madness.
