Teenager charged following East Cowes robbery and broken nose for staff member

A teenager has been charged in connection with a robbery at Central Stores in Well Road, East Cowes.

It’s alleged that at around 7.50pm on Wednesday 14th February, a member of staff at the premises challenged a shoplifter.

Following this, it’s then alleged that the worker was pushed into a glass fridge door, resulting in her nose being broken.

Arrested and charged with robbery
A 16-year-old boy was arrested and subsequently charged with robbery. He was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 17th February.

At the hearing, he was bailed with conditions to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 28th February.
