Art lovers don’t forget that Teresa Grimaldi will be opening her Vacated Works exhibition at Quay Arts tomorrow.
There’ll be a drinks reception between 2-4pm to which everyone is welcome.
It’ll be a great chance to chat to the lady herself and learn more about the inspiration behind her work.
The Vacated Works describes Teresa Grimaldi’s most recent works, created away from her home place of the Isle of Wight during the past three years.
It embraces forms of video, installation, puppets and painting in a shared sense of absence and Teresa has engaged here with a narrative of nostalgia and the uncanny, or ‘unhomely’ using the puppet as emblem.
The exhibition is in the Michael West gallery and runs until Monday 20th July.
There’ll also be a demonstration in response to the exhibition on 11 June 10am-3pm.
