If you’re heading to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend, this band from London are likely to be the cutest you’ll see.
The Bobbs are a London-based band made up of four 11 year olds (making them the youngest ever to play the Festival).
They are
- Iggy, the Guitarist
- Archie, the singer
- Louis on Drums
- Pietro on bass
Hey Joe!
The four got together at school last year to enter a ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition.
They impressed the judges (John Giddings and Sonny Takhar of Syco music and Simon Cowell’s right hand man) and won the slot to play the ‘Hey Joe’ stage on Saturday at 11.50am.
Waiting for the Weekend
We hear the lads have been busy rehearsing their 20 minute set, so if you check them out at the weekend expect to hear an original track written by themselves called ‘Waiting for the Weekend’ (we know that feeling) as well as some covers, including Blur (who’ll be playing the main stage in the evening).
The next Jimi Hendrix?
Check out this shot of guitarist Iggy, with his Les Paul guitar. It’s thought that young Iggy could really be the next Jimi Hendrix of the new generation.
