Many thanks to South Wight Warden, David Mears for posting details of the The Great Goat Roundup on the VB discussion forum earlier this week.
For those who missed the posting, here are the details.
The spring round up of the feral goats on St Boniface / Bonchurch Downs is to be held on Friday 3rd April 2009.
The round up involves walking around the contours of each Down and so is strenuous due to the scrub, steepness of slope and uneven ground.
The spring round up is in addition to the one held in September and it is to enable us to vaccinate the goats against Blue Tongue.
Volunteers are always needed for the round up.
