The IOW Short Film Festival: First Heat

The Isle of Wight Film Network has launched its first short film competition and festival.

The IOW Short Film Festival: First HeatThe Isle of Wight Short Film Festival is set to give a voice – and prizes – to the Island’s best filmmakers.

There are quarterly heats at the Quay Arts Centre, ending with a final festival in July 2009 where a Jury Award and an Audience Award will be presented for the best films.

If you are an Island resident or shot a short film here (less than 30mins), either drama or documentary, and would like to enter the competition please visit our website for further details.

The deadline for the first heat was July 1st 2008 and on Thursday 24 July at 7.30pm there will be a chance to view the best of the First Heat entries in the Anthony Minghella Theatre at Quay Arts who are kindly supporting this Festival.

The Isle of Wight Film Network is an organisation for film professionals on the Island, and for bringing mainland filmmakers to work and shoot here. It is free to join and is open to all film makers and trades related to the film industry. Contact us via our website.
