The Isle of Wight Film Network has launched its first short film competition and festival, stretching from 2008 to 2009.
The Isle of Wight Short Film Festival is set to give a voice – and prizes – to the Island’s best filmmakers.
This is the second of the quarterly heats which will be held at Quay Arts, ending with a final festival in July 2009 where a Jury Award and an Audience Award will be presented for the best films.
The categories are split into two with over 18 and under 18 prizes.
If you are an Island resident or shot a short film here (less than 30mins), either drama or documentary, and would like to enter the competition please visit our Web site for further details, email [email protected].
On Thursday 2 October at 7.30pm there will be a chance to view, for FREE, the best of the Second Heat entries in the Anthony Minghella Theatre at Quay Arts who are kindly supporting this Festival.
