If you’ve heard the buzz, but not yet seen them in action, Island band, The Kurves will be playing not once, but twice in one week at this year’s Skandia Cowes Week.
Headlining on 2nd August at Shepards Wharf and then playing again on the 5th, The Kurves hit the headlines earlier in the year when they played a charity gig at Camp Hill Prison and managed to raise cash for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice whilst entertaining the inmates.
They then went on to become finalists in the Bestival Band Competition and recently ran a competition in the County Press to recruit a female singer – which we understand was very successful.
Despite not winning the Bestival Bands Competition, they did get a slot to play anyway and will also be playing at the White Air festival.
