The Loft, is a brand new late night bar and music venue which opens tonight (Friday 14th December) in Newport.
The team behind the new venture in Newport are festival bar specialists, The Really Good Bar Company.
Ten years of festival experience
As you can gather from their name, the bar game is not new to them. For ten years they’ve been creating festival drinking spots on the circuit – Wild Copse at Bestival 2012, The Snakepit at Shangri-La, Glastonbury 2011, End of the Road, The Big Chill, Lounge on the Farm, Green Man and more.
They tell us that they’re passionate about what they do and what they listen to and having worked with some of the industry’s finest in a large number of fields, beaches and valleys they felt it was time to find a more permanent home.
What to expect
The venue is well placed, right by the bus station which has late night links back to main towns on the Island.
As for what to expect inside, we’re told that The Loft will have all the same qualities of RGB’s event bars – great music, great drinks and great people.
We hear that the venue has undergone a completely refurbishment, with a stylish yet friendly vibe aiming to be the trademark of The Loft.
Opening night
The Loft opens tonight, Friday 14th December, and will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights thereafter.
Tonight sees Special guest DJ JFB (UK DMC champion 2007 & 2011), Maxx Traxx (Quality Control) plus resident DJs Bit Bad Wolf, Tala Steppa and S.T.Irie take to the decks.
