Replica solar panels installed at Godshill Model Village

The Model Village in Godshill has introduced a new feature across three of its iconic houses.

Tiny replica solar panels now sit on the rooftops, showing visitors how renewable energy can be part of everyday life.

Showcasing renewable energy
Although the panels are only models, they represent the growing role of solar power in real homes.

The display demonstrates how people can harness natural energy sources to reduce their reliance on traditional power.

Collaboration with Wickes
The project comes through a partnership with Wickes. There isn’t a Wickes branch on the Isle of Wight, although it has been rumoured they coming to the new St George’s Way development.

The home improvement retailer has launched a new solar panel range, and the model village has provided a creative way to share the idea with the public.
