Ventnor Film Society presents The Motorcycle Diaries (certificate 15, 128 mins) at The Ventnor Winter Gardens on Tuesday 10 January 2006.
Based on the journals of Che Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado, this film chronicles the 1952 journey of two Argentine medical students who explore Latin America riding a spluttering Norton 500 motorbike. The two young men discover the continent, it’s people, and ultimately, in themselves, the roots of a lifelong battle against injustice and oppression.
