The campaign to find a missing man from Crystal Palace who was last seen on the Isle of Wight on 13th June will be taken to the TV screens next week.
A close friend of Robert (Robbie) Gibson will appear on The One Show on Monday 25th July, 7pm (BBC1) to share details of the search.
Missing for six weeks
Robbie, a community champion and leading library campaigner, visited the Island often and enjoyed camping in the Shanklin area. He was last seen on CCTV in the Shanklin Co-op on Monday 13th June.
His family are concerned for his health and mental well-being because Robbie does not have his medication with him.
Have you seen Robbie?
Robbie is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build with grey hair. He wears black rimmed Prada glasses. He has a strong Northern Irish accent.
He was last seen wearing a green/khaki ‘Barbour-style’ jacket, brown trousers and white trainers.
Close friend, Joe Duggan, who has been involved in the search said,
“Robbie’s family, his friends, and the wider Crystal Palace community that value the great work he has done as a library campaigner, would just love to know that he is safe and well. We are getting increasingly concerned.”
Unverified sightings
There have been many unverified sightings of Robbie on the Isle of Wight.
In one case, a man who looked very similar was spotted by several people in Newport, but later ruled out by police after they examined CCTV.
