News out this morning from IW Festival site tells us that The Police will be Sunday headliners at next year’s IW Festival. Here’s a look at their first ever TV performance, back in 1978 on The Old Grey Whistle Test.
The dates for next year’s festival is 13th, 14th & 15th June and so far The Police are the only band named as headliners.
Festival Promoter John Giddings confirmed The Police will headline Sunday night and bring 2008’s Festival to a close, “It’s a coup to get The Police for the Festival, we’re very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight.”
Apparently they are on tour at the moment, and the IW Festival will be the only UK festival for the lads.
