Coastguards were very busy this weekend as Channel4 journalist and broadcaster Jon Snow tells us in his latest blog.
During his weekend of sailing in the Solent he encountered his first ‘mayday’ call on the radio on May Day.
He also met the three sailors who lost their yacht, Tallulah, near Gurnard and it seems was impressed with the diverse multiculturalism he witnessed in Shanklin.
