Officers investigating a fatal fire in Cowes have arrested three additional men in connection with the incident.
Police were called at 3.32am on Friday 26th June to reports of a fire at an address on Ronsons Close, Cowes.
Man in his 20s pronounced dead at the scene
Officers attended along with colleagues from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and Isle of Wight Ambulance, and a man in his 20s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
No formal identification has taken place, however next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Three arrested on Saturday night; fourth suspect bailed
As part of our fast-paced investigation, officers arrested three men on Saturday night (27th June).
Two 24-year-old men and a 59-year-old man, all from Cowes, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life. They remain in custody while our enquiries continue.
A 28-year-old man from Ventnor, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, arson with intent to endanger life and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place on Friday, has been bailed with conditions until 27 September to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
