Renowned chef Tom Kerridge took the new owners of Stripped Brasserie by surprise this evening when he dropped in for dinner.
The superstar chef owns a host of venues, including The Hand and Flowers in Marlow – the first pub to ever receive a Michelin star.
Kerridge is well known for his appearances on Great British Menu, Masterchef and Saturday Kitchen, and for presenting Food and Drink for BBC Two.
Dobre: An unforgettable moment
Ramona Dobre, Co-Owner and Chef at Stripped Brasserie, said,
“It was an unexpected and huge honour for us to host Mr Kerridge.
“For us, cooking and eating is about shared experiences and this was an unforgettable moment.”
Vibrant Mediterranean cuisine
Husband and wife team Ramona and Stefan Dobre recently reopened the Ventnor venue Stripped, rebranding as Stripped Brasserie. They serve vibrant Mediterranean cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients.
The couple have lived and worked on the Island for seven years, during which Ramona has gained notoriety as a talented chef, working her way up to Kitchen Manager at The Folly Inn and Correo Lounge.
Took the plunge
This year, the duo teamed up to realise their dream of running their own brasserie, with Stefan leaving his post as Front of House Manager at The Royal Hotel Ventnor to join Chef Ramona and bring the flavours of the Mediterranean to the Island.
Originally from Romania, their style is influenced by many years spent in Cyprus and Greece. With their extensive experience, the family offer a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with mouthwatering meals and a curated wine list.
