Tractor driver knocks out power for 700-800 homes

Oops. It appears a tractor driver hit a powerline earlier today that has knocked out power for 700-800 homes on the Isle of Wight.


700-800 residences in the PO36 area are currently without power due to a tractor hitting a powerline earlier today.

The problem is being seen to and it’s anticipated that service will be restored by 4pm today.

Scottish and Southern Electric say,

“We apologise for the loss of supply. Our engineers are on site working to get the power back on as quickly as they can. If you need more information, please call us on 0800 072 7282 and quote reference ‘BF7244′”
