Trafalgar Court window upgrades underway in Cowes, explains Sovereign Housing

In case you were wondering why some windows at Trafalgar Court in Cowes were boarded up, News OnTheWight has enquired and sought the answer.

A reader got in touch on Monday concerned about the the windows being removed by Sovereign Housing workers at the weekend.

A spokesperson for Sovereign Network Group, explained to News OnTheWight,

“SNG is currently replacing the windows at Trafalgar Court in Cowes in a planned phase of work across three of our blocks running until early Spring.

“This work will involve installing scaffolding and completing some repairs to the window reveals. Whilst access equipment is in place, we plan to complete some remedial repairs to the soffit. The building does not have cladding and no work is planned to the external wall finish.

“10 Trafalgar Court has a boarded window due to a responsive repair which is currently being managed.”
