Following a three car accident earlier today, there’s no direct access to the Fishbourne ferry terminal from Ryde.
UPDATE 17:32: We’ve just heard form the Police that the road is now reopened.
A diversion has been set up via an inland route.
The Police tell us that traffic from Newport isn’t being diverted and is getting through to the ferry without a problem. Traffic bound for Ryde along the same route isn’t being allowed through.
There were two casualties that we understand from the police are in a serious, but not life-threatening condition.

Wightlink is reporting delays of 30 minutes on the Fishbourne / Portsmouth ferry.
