Hovertravel: We are currently operating in accordance with our winter timetable. Next crossing 12.15.

Red Funnel: Please note that the 11:45 Jet SOWC and the 12:15 jet WCSO has been cancelled due to medical emergency. Normal timetable to resume from 12:45.

Wightlink: Happy to say L-Y has just resumed running. The 10.00 sailing left at 10.37.

Wightlink: Due to strong winds in the Solent, our Lymington – Yarmouth car ferry service has been temporarily suspended. We will let you know as soon as the wind drops allowing the service to resume.

9.57am
Hovertravel: Service is currently suspended due to adverse weather conditions

Island Line trains: Service suspended due to landslip near Sandown.

  • A replacement coach service service will operate leaving Shanklin at 38 minutes past the hour and Ryde Esplanade at 50 minutes past the hour.
  • A shuttle taxi service is replacing trains between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head as trains are not able to run along the pier due to storm damage.

In additional valid rail tickets will also be accepted on Southern Vectis bus routes 2 and 3 between Shanklin and Ryde and return. More detail.

Road closures
Several roads are closed due to flooding or poor road surface

Cliff Path, Lake – closed to vehicles due to safety reasons
Cliff Path, Lake – closed to pedestrians from Winchester house car park to Skew Bridge path / Lake Cliff Gardens due to safety reasons
Cliff Path, Shanklin – closed to pedestrians between Delphi Road and St Boniface Cliff Road due to safety reasons
Gate Lane, Freshwater – closed due to excessive gravel on the surface
Hyde Road, Shanklin – closed due to a collapsed wall
Knighton Lane & Knighton Shute,Newchurch – closed due to a poor surface (these roads will remain closed until the area dries out as the proposed surface treatment cannot be applied while the roads are wet)
Rew Lane, Ventnor – closed due to a poor surface
Pixley Hill, Freshwater – closed due to a poor surface
Harding Shute, Ryde – closed due to flooding
Folly Lane footpath (between The Folly and Island Harbour) – closed due to a land slip
