TV Stars For New Island Panto!

Islanders are soon to welcome their only professional Christmas Pantomime which stars names from the world of television.

Families are in for a very special treat as BBC TV`s The Really Wild Show presenter Howie Watkins headlines the cast in Dick Whittington and the Pirates of Blackgang Chine.

Howie, who presented the popular BBC TV wildlife show for seven series, will be donning the frocks to play Sarah the Cook. “I can’t wait to get back on stage at my favourite time of year,” Howie said, “and wear those huge eyelashes!”

Leading family producer, That’s Entertainment Productions, in association with the Medina Theatre present the Isle of Wight’s newest star-studded professional Pantomime, and a spokesman said ticket sales were already selling well. “We wanted to create a new start for panto on the island,” said Co-Producer Chris Gidney.

“We have brought in our sparkling costumes, colourful sets, enthralling illusions, special effects and a live band, and a brilliant script written by a West End performer. Audiences of all ages love our Pantos because they are so exciting visually and great fun all the way through, and we are trying to help families hit by the credit crunch, so we are keeping our prices as low as possible.”
