Two Injured in Sandown Microlight Flip

The BBC are reporting news of a microlight that flipped over on the runway at Sandown Airport yesterday lunchtime.
It’s thought that the two people on the aircraft escaped with minor injuries, both being taken to St Mary’s.

The BBC are reporting news of a microlight that flipped over on the runway at Sandown Airport yesterday lunchtime.

It’s thought that the two people on the aircraft escaped with minor injuries, both being taken to St Mary’s.

A spokesman from the airport is reported as saying: “[The aircraft] may have bounced.”

Our thoughts are with both the passengers, who we wish speedy recoveries to.

I read elsewhere they hit a pothole.

Seems unlikely, it is a grass runway after all, although if it was a road i would have thought, given, the size of the Island potholes a microlight might be swallowed whole. Buurrrpp!!!!!!!!!!!
